Chapter 48: Three From January

That's right. It just keeps on going. Debates, test preachers, Ilse getting mad at people, an unexpected suitor, and plenty of ice.

"Threap" is a real word, meaning "insist upon" or "talk at great length," used by Ellen Green in Emily of New Moon, Chapter Three: "I've always threaped at your father to send you to school--learning at home ain't the same thing--but he wouldn't listen to me, of course." The phrase "at threadbares" is, as far as I know, a neologism derived from the Tori Amos song "Bells for Her," which is also the working title of the Twilight fic I was going to write for Halloween but didn't because I am lazy.

I kicked off National Novel Writing Month by meeting 0% of my word count goals the first day, making them up the second, and celebrating that minor victory with MORE FANFICTION. Such is my life.
