I've just started watching again, and it is just as amazing as ever. There are wardrobe tragedies and tone failures and ghost sightings all over the place! I'm about halfway through the first episode of Season 2. Aunt Elizabeth wears her second-best bonnet to a business transaction and pretends to believe in the evil eye, for reasons that are never made clear. The evil but not very thoughtfully adapted Rhoda Stuart tries to break up the Core Four using badly-acted skulduggery -- and succeeds! Though only on account of Ilse being completely OOC. Perry is the worst liar in history for no good reason and Teddy has no character to be out of and Emily still has no idea how to conduct herself in a Murray household. She starts out Season 2 by coming to breakfast in a bathing costume -- with bare arms! And then acts surprised and hurt when Elizabeth tells her to change! Doesn't she know that pattern recognition is an important skill for a poet?
Maybe I'll post a recap sometime soon.
